In this club, we will study the applications that run on the iPad and iPod touch. Students can bring in their own iPad, iPod touch, or iPhone. We'll teach one another about our favorite applications. You don't need an iPad to join the club. We'll also learn what options we have if we are still window shopping for an Apple or perhaps an Android phone or tablet. For more information about this class or to comment on any of our application notes, you can find our group blog at postpcpg.wordpress.com.
Why the short story? Why read the short story? We read the short story because it is a reflection of who we are. It is a reflection of a time, an age, a moment in time. It is a reflection of an epoque's philosophy, history, and culture. Simply, the short story is a slice of life at the moment it is written. This class will read 10 great short stories to see what they tell us about life. We will, perhaps also be able to write a bit ourselves. Text used will be: The Art of the Short Story, edited by Dana Giola and R. S. Gwynn.
